Podere il Gufo is an impressive 18th century stone building in one of Tuscany’s most beautiful valleys – Val di Chio – formerly called God’s Valley (Val di Dio), due to its fertility and favourable weather.

Divided into 2 rental apartments and a small independent studio, it accommodates a maximum of 10 guests at a time.
The lovely owners Maria and Rinaldo will make you feel welcome and at home right from your arrival. Maria is a great cook and unbeatable host! She’ll be happy to cook for you and even teach you how to make fresh pasta!

The property is surrounded by large, impeccably kept gardens, with flowers in bloom most of the year offering marvellous colours and smells. There are plenty of shady spots to relax around the property, on top of each unit’s private terrace.

Available for guests also a laundry and a wood oven.

Cooking classes available at 12 euro per hour. meals available at euro 25 per person, breakfast available at euro 6 per person.

The valley develops at the foot of Castiglion Fiornetino, towards Cortona.
The house sits a mere 3 kms from the village of Castiglion Fiorentino, and just 800 metres from the local grocery/bar/pizzeria, ideal for fresh cornetti and cappuccino in the morning or for scrumptious take away dishes at lunchtime and wood oven baked pizza at night.

The area abounds in very good restaurants, specialised in truffle, Wild boar and other typical local products.

Castiglion Fiorentino is a very lively and rich village offering locals and guests a wide variety of services and shops. It also has train station.

Cortona and Arezzo are only 20 minutes drive away, so is Lake Trasimeno.
Podere il Gufo is deally located for both relaxing holidays in nature and for busy sightseeing and shopping holidays.
