We arrived home last evening from our fabulous trip to Italy. I wanted you to know how much we appreciate all that you have done to answer our questions and make our stay at the beautiful Borgo La Chiusa so enjoyable. We just loved Tuscany!! Francesca was very helpful and has done a wonderful job in making the villa so warm and inviting.

Unfortunately, we left on Saturday morning and realized that we had forgotten to sign the guest book (which we talked about doing several times during the week). Please let Francesca and Rossolino know how much we loved their villa and the Tuscan hillsides. Our week in Tuscany was beyond our expectations and we would recommend La Chiusa to anyone looking to visit your beautiful country!!

Thank you once again for all that you did to make our holiday so special. We hope we are able to return again!!

We can only give positive feedback about our stay in Borgo La Chiusa:
great location, quiete, beatiful scenery, and close to Sienna.
The house is nicely decorated, very very very clean, comfortable, it is even nicer than what you see on the pictures. When we return to Tuscany, we will definitely go back to this place.

Three friends and I rented the villa for 11 awesome days. Francesca and her family were wonderful. The place was immaculate and safe, close to all the little towns in Tuscany, and we traveled daily to places like Florence, Montepulciano, Siena and many others.There is everything one needs either on the property or a short way off. I can't wait to go back, and highly recommend Borgo la Chiusa. There are vineyards nearby and artichokes growing in neighboring yards. The fields of red poppies are a sight to behold.Italia is Bellisima....go!!!

This villa overlooking a spectacular Tuscan rolling hill vista was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Beautiful patios and courtyards; spacious, well-appointed and spotlessly clean rooms and owners who went out of their way to be hospitable. We had the larger of the two 'apartments' in the villa - 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 down. The pool and the grounds were picture-perfect. Good bus service for trips into Sienna (about 15 minute direct bus ride) and to neighbouring towns (Rosia is the closest with a full grocery store but there is a super butcher in Volta Alta which is walkable from the villa). A rental car is best here but not entirely necessary.

We stayed at Borgo La Chiusa in May, 2010. This is actually when they were installing the new Travertine pool. We never were able to use it, but it sure looked stunning when they were finished!

There were (9) of us that rented both apartments. The location truly can't be beat. We had a large van and took several day trips to Florence, Siena, and various other hamlets in the region. Very close to highway access. A very nice, modern Coop grocery store was a frequent haunt for our group (located in Sovicille). We made several meals in the kitchen of the larger unit and had great group dinners on the large table there, with roaring fires in the fireplace (firewood is extra, but worth it!).

The interior of both units was incredible. Very modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, quality linens made this a wonderful package. The stone patio outside the largest unit is HUGE and had a wonderful fireplace-grill that we used to grill fresh Tuscan vegetables on.

Owners had limited English skills which made the transaction of paying the balance a bit difficult, but they were a charming young couple with obvious very-good taste!

We would like to thank you so much for providing the wonderful itineraries in your Borgo la Chiusa booklet. We followed 3 of the "trips" and had a truly fabulous time both driving thru the Tuscan hills and visiting uncrowded sites. And we didn't get lost even once!

We intended on completing the Val di Merse, Montagnola, and Chianti itineraries but we had such a great time everywhere that we only finished parts of Val di Merse and Montagnola and never made it to Chianti!

We spent several hours each at San Galgano, Radiacondoli, Casole d'Elsa, and Pieva Di Penina because they were so beautiful and interesting. There were other places we planned to visit, but we ran out of time, so it just means we have more to come back for!

By the way, the gardens at Centinale were closed for renovation--something else to see when we return. We are definitely slow travelers to Italy and share your love of the beautiful sights and peaceful tranquility Tuscany has to offer.

We especially appreciated Casole d'Elsa because they made it so easy to navigate the scooter up to the hilltop by providing elevators. That was an unexpected treat!

We also again want to thank you and Francesca for helping us navigate our way to Siena--we followed the instructions and for the first time we didn't get lost! We even went back there one more time before leaving Italy!

We would be remiss also If we didn't offer thanks for the wonderful restaurant suggestions. We ate in a bunch of them and found all to be wonderful!

Our two weeks in Tuscany were everything we hoped for and more, and we will be sure to recommend you to any of our friends who are thinking of a Tuscan holiday. Thank you so much.

Just to say how much we enjoyed our holiday at Borgo La Chiusa and many thanks for all your help whilst we were there. It is a stunningly beautiful area and a wonderful property to stay in. Hope to return!

Our family recently stayed at this exquisite property just outside of Sienna. The home was perfectly renovated, extremely clean, bright, and pleasant. Beds, furnishings, and linens were all brand new and very comfortable.
The owners were wonderful hosts-even dropping by one night with several delicious pizzas cooked in their on-site pizza oven that must have been 300 years old. Highly recommended.

La Chiusa was one of the highlights of our european trip. Francesca and her son were gorgeous friendly people who went above and beyond our expectations to give us as much information about the area as we needed. The pool was cleaned every morning and night and Francessca was only a phone call away if we needed anything. La Chiusa was immaculate inside and out. Attention to detail was excellent. Thank you Francesca for recommending a visit to Lake Garda it really was beautiful. We hope to come back one day with our children. If you are looking for a little slice of paradise a quiet tranquil setting. I recommend La Chiusa

I am not a very good writer, but I will say this. Your property was the last of 3 places we stayed. We stayed in an apartment in Florence that was good in size, had everything we needed, not the cleanest in the world, but just fine for our purposes. Then in Lucca, stayed in a B&B which was also fine, but cold, with bad bedding. We had spent alot of time sightseeing, out on the streets walking, eating and drinking. In general taking in all in and having a good time, but getting tired. We rented a car and left Lucca for Siena. When we arrived @ La Chiusa, it was too good to be true! The warmth and cleanliness and comfort of the house was so welcoming. It had everything we needed. Especially nice, was to go "home" in the evening, cook or just relax with some wine and a fire with our friends. The beds and bedding were great. Bathrooms were excellent! The price value was excellent. It was a great way to end our trip. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to the Siena area. If I ever make it back to Italy I would definately seek out one of your properties. You are never REALLY sure what is portrayed on the internet will be what it really is. La Chiusa definately lived up to the picture and description and more. Francesca was so sweet. I only wish I spoke Italian. Shame on me! Also Erica always responded to my emails in a timely fashion. As you can see, I have so many good things to say about this place.

There were four of us on holiday in Tuscany from Florida. We loved the accomodation and our hosts were excellent. All you need when you stay is your personal stuff. The views of the country side were great we ate dinner and had morning coffee on the outdoor patio every day. We do recomend this location for your Tuscany vacation.

I loved my 2-weeks stay at Borgo La Chiusa this summer, I just have not been able to find a fault.

Hi Erica - We just returned home from Siena. Our stay in the Siena area was fabulous. Your property, La Chiusa, was a welcome site. Every thing was very clean, comfortable and modern. The beds and bedding were great. The house very convienent to everything we did. It was a great place to end our trip. I would definately recommend it to anyone. Also Francesca was great.

We do recommend this lovely country house to all people looking for tuscany landscapes.
The descripcion given to us was accurate we were even surprised becaused in the reallity the property looks even better. Well kept garden, comfortable rooms - everything was clean and tastefull. Lot's of thanks to the owners !!

The appartment is very nice, clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is well equipped so that you can easily cook for a family (4 persons). The owner is very friendly and gave good advice regarding shops, restaurants and attractions.
A perfect area for cycling, running or moto-cycling. There are nice places to discover.
